Finding Time

A follow up to the video WITHOUT sound, urgh. I hate it when I have something profound to share and my phone decides not to work.. .LOL

Anyway, so what I basically said was... as many of you know, yesterday I received a confirmation of a self diagnosed issue I have been dealing with for a long time. I officially have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, I am NOT at all happy about this, however, it puts a name to the issue and now I can work with my drs to feel better.

I have always been the type of person who gets upset/depressed when I first hear news about certain things, my health is one of them. My next stage usually goes to where I am just mad, mad as hell at myself, at the world or whoever or whatever I can be mad at. THEN I enter into this stage of "ok, it is what it is, now how are we going to deal with it"

It use to take me weeks, sometimes months to go through those three steps, depending on the severity of the information I am processing. However, because for the last year or so I have really been focusing on bettering myself, dealing with my emotions and living a happier more fulfilled life, I was able to jump through these these three steps very quickly this time.

So to get to the point of my video flop.... I was went for a walk last night just because I was mad. Then today I fought my pain and kept coming up with reasons why I didn't want to walk today. I then heard that little voice telling me to get up off my ass and just go.

So I did. And while I was walking I decided to listen to a you tube video about personal development.

Then it occurred to me, I often say, I don't have time, for personal development, for exercise or whatever it might be. We can find time if we think outside of the box. The walk that I normally take is approximately 1.25 miles and at a steady pace right now takes me about 35 minutes. If I combine, 35 minutes of an audio book, a podcast, a youtube video playing while I walk, I have just accomplished two VERY HEALTHY things for me to do and both done in 35 minutes or less.

You can find time, IF YOU WANT IT bad enough.

I asked this question on my Facebook profile recently and received a decent amount of responses.  Mostly items that I expected.  As with many things that I do, I had a reason for asking.

pizza rolls, pigs in a blanket, fried mac/cheese bites, chicken fingers, pizza, wings, crab dip, buffalo chicken dip, chips, nachos, salsa, meatballs, chips and dip and popcorn.

So what if I told you that you can eat all these foods, within reasonable quantities and enjoy them either as is or in healthier versions... AND you can still lose weight and feel good about yourself afterwards.

WHHHHAAAT!
