Who doesn't want to give their baby the best? I recently learned that the baby products that we are using on our infants right from day one are LOADED with chemicals.

DIY BABY DIAPER CREAM WITH ESSENTIAL OIL
INGREDIENTS:
Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) has a sweet, floral aroma that is soothing and refreshing. Lavender’s aroma is great for relaxing and winding down before bedtime; add to bath or diffuse to create a calming and comforting environment. Lavender essential oil may compliment your favorite shampoos, lotions and skin care products. Because it is the most versatile of all essential oils, no home should be without it. (source)
About Frankincense Essential Oil:
Frankincense (Boswellia carterii) includes the naturally occurring constituent boswellic acid, and has a woodsy, warm, balsamic aroma. Diffuse Frankincense during prayer for grounding. Applying this oil topically may help smooth the appearance of healthy-looking skin, and is excellent to use for massage after activity. (source)

DIRECTIONS:
In a double boiler (CLICK here if you do not have a double boiler) melt the coconut oil and shea butter together until they are fully mixed. Add in about 1 teaspoon of Vitamin E oil (I just eyeballed it… doesn’t have to be exact).
Let the mixture cool and come back to room temperature but NOT fully harden. You can actually put the bowl in the freezer for about 10 minutes. Once it’s back at room temperature, add in the lavender, frankincense, and Gentle Baby essential oils.
Then with a stand OR hand mixer, whip the coconut oil / shea butter / Vitamin E / essential oils until light and fluffy. This should take a few minutes. It will start to look like whipped cream!
Apply to your baby’s bum (or even arms, legs, belly, etc.) during diaper changes to help support healthy skin!
*BONUS* – This cream actually works GREAT as a super moisturizing lotion. You can use it anywhere you’d like healthy, soft skin!
